Competitors

Competitors are treated at three levels

  1. in the configuration of the business segments
  2. at the company level
  3. at business unit level

1 configuration

All competitors your company deals with are listed during configuration. The information requested here is minimal: 
  1. Name of the competitor
  2. Place
  3. Year of foundation
  4. Form of ownership
  5. Number of employees
  6. current sales
  7. Internet address
  8. a short description and 
  9. one comment
At the same level, the competitors are allocated to the divisions. This matrix shows all business units in which a competitor is active. As soon as a competitor is displayed, the data records in which business-specific information can be provided are generated in the respective business unit.

2. company level

At the company level, the competitor is described in detail, with all the details that are relevant to the company strategy. A strength-weakness diagram is also created.


3. business unit level

At the business area level, the allocated competitors are viewed from the perspective of this one business area. This applies to both the quantitative figures and the qualitative information. It may well be that one or the other statement is repeated here. The strengths and weaknesses profile is also drawn up for each business area.
